Cottage with an Enchanting View, one of the paintings for the 40 sceneries of Yuanmingyuan drawn in the 9th Year of Qianlong’s reign

Located in the southern half of east bank of Fuhai Lake and built around the 9th Year of Yongzheng’s reign (1731), Cottage with an Enchanting View is one of the 40 sceneries of Yuanmingyuan. It is a good place for emperors of Qing Dynasty to appreciate sceneries. Emperor Daoguang served the empress dowager for dinner in this cottage many times.
